Sharing God’s Love,
Always and with Everyone.
BECOME A PART OF OUR PARISH FAMILY
Welcome! We are so glad that you are interested in becoming a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church of Osakis! We encourage all baptized Catholics who live within our parish boundaries to become registered members of Immaculate Conception.
If you register as a member of our parish, we will be able to serve your needs more completely. Members can receive their sacraments here, enroll in our school or religious education programs, receive tuition assistance if needed, and more. Parish registration is important and is also a great way of learning about the parish as well as supporting the parish in its ministries.
Pastors appreciate when their parishioners register. Registration allows the parish to have contact information on file to contact the parishioners about special events, to send offertory envelopes, and to keep track of offertory donations. If you are NOT currently receiving monthly offertory envelopes from us, please contact us, as this may mean that you are NOT registered at the parish.
If you are not baptized or are baptized in another faith and have questions about becoming Catholic, please email or call 320-859-2390.
MASSES HAVE RESUMED
Please remember all Catholics are dispensed from the obligation to attend Mass indefinitely.
Anyone over 65 years old, or sick, or with any health issues, or anyone who is concerned about transmitting the virus to a vulnerable person, or anyone who is simply afraid of being in public because of the virus, is encouraged to stay home. Because weekday Masses have lower attendance, those who are 65+ may wish to consider attending a weekday Mass instead of Sunday Mass.
Entry into the church at each Mass is no more than 75
Those attending Mass are encouraged to wear masks and sanitize their hands both upon entering and exiting church.
Only every third pew is available to sit in beginning from the front.
Two non-related singles and/or two sets of couples can sit in the same pew, but at opposite ends of the pew to maintain 6’ between them. Families of 3 or more will be assigned a single pew.
All non-available pews will be roped off.
Kneelers cannot be used at any time.
Masks are to be removed BEFORE coming forward for communion and should be replaced after consuming the Eucharist.
Communicants will form a single line up the center aisle to receive communion.
Please maintain the 6’ distancing requirement while coming to communion, and while entering and exiting the church.
PRAYER TO RECEIVE A NEW BISHOP
Praise to you, Lord our God, our eternal shepherd and guide.
In your faithfulness, grant to the Diocese of Saint Cloud
a shepherd whose watchful care and kindly zeal will continue the good work of his predecessors.
In your love for us, give us a shepherd who will lead us
in being Christ’s heart of mercy, voice of hope, and hands of justice.
Help him to fill our minds and hearts with the truth of the Gospel,
the power of the sacraments, and the desire to build up your holy Church.
We ask this through Jesus Christ, your Son and our Lord,
in the unity of the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever.
